With his experience in public policy and as a federal law clerk, Adam Greenup understands the importance of meticulous attention to detail when advocating for a client. As a member of the Stanton team, Adam draws upon his experiences while also bringing a laser focus when working to resolve complex legal issues and safeguard his clients’ legal interests.
Adam began his career in municipal government as Chief of Staff to San Antonio Councilwoman Mary Alice Cisneros. He subsequently joined the staff of then-San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro, serving as Mayor Castro’s Senior Policy Advisor and Speechwriter. His combined experience provides him with over 7 years of public policy work navigating local bureaucracy.
As an undergraduate student, Adam was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to China, where he studied the impact of economic reforms on marginalized Chinese social groups. In 2017, Adam was among the inaugural class of graduates from the University of North Texas Dallas College of Law, where he graduated cum laude. Prior to joining Stanton LLP, Adam served as a law clerk to the Honorable James Brady of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.
Born in El Paso and raised in Midland, Adam is proud of his West Texas roots, which instilled within him the importance of hard work, discipline, and maintaining a strong ethical core. Adam enjoys spending quality time with his husband, Martin, and their dog Marley. Adam also loves to cook and is especially skilled in Mexican and Turkish cuisines.
The lawyers at Stanton LLP really listen to understand our business and seem to know what we are thinking about without us having to say it.
