Marina S. Amendola

Marina’s international experience in both government and business brings a unique perspective to the Stanton team.

She began her legal career clerking for the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague. While there, Marina analyzed complex issues of international criminal responsibility, contributing to overturning case-law on specific direction in aiding and abetting liability in international criminal law.

Marina went on to work as a corporate law consultant at PwC Brussels and served as the Subject Matter Expert on compliance with the Flemish Government in Belgium. Her compliance expertise focused on Flemish, Belgian, and European framework for vocational training and employment subsidies, as well as labor migration. During this time, she advised the Flemish Ministry of Work and Social Economy on streamlining legislation and the digitization of access to government subsidies for individuals.

Born in Central Asia, educated in Belgium, Scotland, and the United States, she is a citizen of the world. Marina is fluent in Russian, Dutch, French, and English and is currently practicing her Turkish, Spanish, Italian, and German. She is an avid musician, playing both the piano and violin, and a connoisseur of teas from around the world.
