Theresa Melia appreciates the importance of balancing public optics and advocacy. She has experience solving problems for corporations both domestically and internationally in a number of areas, including securities, antitrust and trade regulation, banking and finance, environmental matters, construction, constitutional questions, and general contract and business tort disputes.
As a legislative aide for an Australian federal senator, Theresa gained exposure in understanding the concerns of a constituent base and building industry and bipartisan support and coalitions in support of legislation. Before joining Stanton LLP, Theresa practiced both internationally and at a premier Dallas based litigation boutique, where she represented financial institutions, real estate developers, and Fortune 500 companies.
Theresa is actively involved in the Dallas community, whether it is volunteering at her three children’s schools or serving Jubilee Park. When the Melias are not hosting friends and families and cheering each other on at sporting events, they often travel to Colorado for skiing and Australia to catch up with friends.

These lawyers are smart, aggressive, risk-takers with a nose for the bottom line, and that’s why Stanton LLP will be involved in every important business decision I make for the rest of my career.
